We take utmost care in packaging your order securely to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.Orders within the United States are shipped via USPS within 1-3 business days. You'll receive a tracking number for your convenience via the email address you entered during checkout, and if you wish to request insurance, please don't hesitate to contact us.


We will ship your order via USPS within 1- 3 business days. All orders placed directly through the website come standard with Route® Shipping Insurance. If you want additional insurance on your package, please get in touch with us directly at 720.986.1626. Shipping upgrades are available at checkout, but please remember that even with rush shipping, we may still need up to three business days to process your order, depending on the stock at the shop. If you need your package shipped immediately, please call us so we can check our inventory before
placing the order.


For international orders, we'll ship your items within 1-5 business days, packaged extra securely to maintain their pristine condition. While we cannot guarantee a delivery date due to customs processes and their unpredictable holding times, typically, international deliveries take 5-10 business days from the ship date. However, depending on your location, it could take up to a month or longer. Tracking information is available for international orders in transit through
the US and most other countries beyond customs. Once the package has left the United States, tracking may no longer be available. If your order is lost or fails to deliver, please get in touch with us for assistance.

Black Lantern Returns and Exchanges

Thank you for choosing Black Lantern! We hope you're thrilled with your purchase. However, if for any reason you need to return or exchange your item, we're here to assist you. Please review our policy below:

To Begin A Return or Exchange:
To start a return or exchange process, please send us an email at or contact us here.

We have a real person checking this email address Monday through Friday from 7am (MST) to 5:30pm and you will get a response promptly!

Before proceeding, ensure you have your order number and the email address used for the original purchase handy, so we can track down the correct order. Your order number can be found in your order confirmation email or on the packing slip included with your package (e.g. BL-12345).

All returns or exchanges must be initiated within 30 days of the original purchase date. Items must be returned in original, unwashed, and unworn condition, with all tags attached. We can’t restock items that have been used for sanitary reasons.

Please note that international sales are final unless the item is found to be defective upon delivery. If this is the case, please send a photograph of the damaged item.

We're happy to exchange unwashed, unworn items with all tags still attached for a different size or color of the same item. We can not, however, exchange a t-shirt for a new set of glasses and adjust the price difference. For these cases we will cancel and return the first order, allowing you to place a new order for the preferred item.

Once an exchange request is initiated, you will receive a prepaid shipping label via email. Your new order will be processed for shipment within 48 hours of your package being scanned by the carrier. All exchanged items ship free to US-based addresses.

All returns must be initiated via or via our contact page. We are quick on the turnaround and will initiate your return the same day or the next business day if it is after 2 p.m.

We accept unwashed, unworn items with all tags still attached for store credit or a full refund.

Follow the outlined steps to obtain a return authorization and a prepaid return label.

Upon initiating a return, you will receive a prepaid shipping label via email.

Once the returned item arrives at our warehouse, it will be inspected. If the item is in its original condition, a refund or store credit will be issued. Refunds will be processed within 1–2 business days following approval from our warehouse team.

For customers local to our area, returns can also be made in person at our Black Lantern store in Longmont, Colorado.

Refunds and Credits:
Once we receive and confirm the like-new condition of the returned item(s), refunds and credits will be applied to the original method of payment.

Typically, refunds and credits are processed within 1–2 business days.

Please note that initial shipping and handling charges are only refundable if the item arrived damaged or defective. If we cannot exchange or repair an item to meet your request, we may, at our discretion, issue you a gift card or store credit.

At Black Lantern, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional products and service. If you're unsatisfied with your purchase upon receipt, you may exchange it for the same item, or return it for store credit or a full refund. That's our promise.
